Happy July everyone! I can’t believe the year is more than half over ALREADY! This year has been so so good for me, overall, and I am pumped to see what the rest of the year has in store. Today I’m kissing June goodbye, and forming new goals for this month. I’m beyond excited to start this month with a BANG 🙂 It’s officially summer here, and temps are already in the 100’s in Dallas…so pool time is essential. I’m ready to even out my tan, see “my people” and do all I can to make this month incredible!
Work on a consistent blogging schedule
I’ve been pretty good at consistently posting 3-5 days out of the week, but sometimes it takes me DAYS to just come up with content. I’d like to brainstorm a list of post ideas, and type of several before my work week begins. It’s definitely difficult working full time, and managing a blog – but it’s doable! I love blogging, being able to network with other creatives, and just writing in general, so I’m happy when I get to sit down and create content.
Prioritize my health
This month for me is all about prioritizing my mental & physical health. I feel like I’m usually pretty good at making this a priority, but this month it has to be in the forefront. I have had a few health issues arise later last month, which was a little scary. But now, I want my full focus to be on healing, and getting better, in order to lead a healthier, balanced life overall. July will be spent taking care of my mind, body and soul…as well as consistently working out, drinking plenty of water, and staying in tune with myself, and my needs.
Catch up with my people
My best friend recently surprised me, and is flying into Dallas for a few days before she jets off on vacation….how amazing is that? I swear the universe just knows when you need your “people” most. I haven’t seen her since my wedding, in October, so I’m very excited to show her around Dallas, and just be able to simply hug her. Living 2k miles away from her has been so difficult, but I am so thankful I am able to see her periodically throughout the year. This month will start off on such a good note, I can’t wait to see her, and connect over coffee, instead of FaceTime, or a phone call.
Plan our vacation
You guys I am SO excited for this! Dustin and I will be taking our very first vacation as a married couple in August, to our home state of Maine! We have NEVER taken a “vacation” only 2-3 day getaways in different states, but this is a long vacation! We are just so homesick, and miss our friends and family so much, We can’t wait to visit with everyone, and just relax. We haven’t seen many of our family members for almost two years now! We are SOO excited to swim in lakes, oceans, reconnect with friends and be able to hug family. This vacation is all about going back to our roots, and spending time with the ones we love. I’ve also NEVER flown, so does anyone have ANY travel tips?! Please let me know in the comments below!
