6 Beauty Products I’m Loving for Summer

Alright friends, it’s been a minute since I’ve done ANY beauty related posts around here, that’s why I’m coming in hot with a few of my favorite products for Summer! During the Summer months, I drastically change up my beauty routine. This means, I wear less makeup, and apply more lotions/potions to my hair. I have long, freshly blonde balayaged hair, so it’s crucial to keep it healthy. Lately, I have only been wearing mascara and brow powder, so I rarely double cleanse these days. That means I need a gentle, yet effective cleanser/toner on my bathroom counter. During the Summer month, my skin tends to become a bit more oily, so I need products that WORK hard, so I can spend more time outdoors and less time on my beauty routine. Today, I’m sharing six products that keep my hair, and skin looking and feeling great, while I’m creating memories in the Summer months.

Thayers Rose Petal / Witch Hazel Facial Mist

This is one of those drugstore products I can not live without. I love keeping this mist in my fridge, so after cleansing/masking I can shock my pores with something cool, to tighten, and close them. Bonus: if you have a bad sunburn or have a killer headache from being in the summer sun, this is extra refreshing when placed in the fridge! This is under $10 at Target, and doubles as a toner, due to it’s ingredients (Witch Hazel.) If you’re looking for something to keep your pores nice & tight, and refresh your skin this summer, be sure to check it out!

Verb Ghost Oil

I am a Licensed Cosmetologist, and have tried TONS of products, oils being one of them. During the Summer months, I am always looking to add moisture back into my hair, without weighing it down. That’s why when I went to my professionals only supply store, I put this in my basket. Verb Ghost Oil literally feels like NOTHING in your hair. It’s called ghost because you wont even know it’s there, but you will feel the benefits of it. The scent is light and citrusy, perfect for Summer. I love putting this in my hair on day 2-4 of dirty hair, to add in moisture. Everyone needs a hair oil for their dry ends year round, and Summer is no exception!

Tula Glow & Get it Eye Balm + Tula Cult Classic Cleanser

Not gonna lie, Tula is SO HYPED by so many bloggers/influencers, that I just had to try this product. So I guess you could say I was “influenced” ha. I’m a huge fan of eye creams, and trying them out whenever possible, so this was the very first product I purchased from Tula. Being 27 now, I know I need to always make sure I’m applying my eye cream morning/night. What I truly love about this eye cream is the ingredients: caffeine, aloe, and probiotics. Not only does this rapidly depuff eyes, but it cools in that area, and gives your under eye a glow… so much so that I completely skip concealer on a daily basis. This is an eye cream I will NEVER be without, because it really WORKS and does exactly what it claims. Shortly after purchasing the eye balm, I ran out of my Drunk Elephant Jelly cleanser, and made the switch to Tula Purifiying cleanser, also due to its clean ingredients. I love that this cleanser is super gentle, and removes makeup. My skin always feels super soft after cleansing, and never tight. This cleanser has become a staple in my every day routine, and is gentle enough for all skin types, thats a win in my book!

Dry Bar Hot Toddy Heat Protectant Mist + Pureology Strength Cure Best Blonde Filler Treatment

These two products mentioned above, always goes hand in hand whenever I’m applying heat to my hair. The Pureology filler treatment should be applied on damp hair, but I always apply it before and after my hair is dried. Whenever I get out of the shower, and towel dry my hair I spray this mid-shaft to ends, to ensure my hair can be easily detangled and is prepped for styling. Having freshly blonde hair, it’s important to treat it gently, and give it all the moisture it needs, which is where these two products really shine. If I was to apply any heat, after my hair is fully dried, I would spray Drybar Hot Toddy heat protectant mist on my hair, to protect from any thermal damage. Hot Toddy smells incredible, and helps to keep my hair healthy, especially when it’s a little more fragile, being freshly balayaged.¬†During the Summer months where it’s hotter outside, and the sun is shining, your hair can become dry, that’s why these products have become a staple in my routine.

What products are you reaching for this Summer? I’d love to hear!
