Lets be real folks, I’ve been in agony over waiting for the changing of the seasons. Why? because I was literally living in a state of permanent summer in Dallas….for almost 3 years and no, it was not fun. Not all the time, anyway. I missed the changing of seasons, the crisp air in fall, that first snowfall…but we wont get into Christmastime in Maine, it’s a tad bit early for that conversation. Dustin and I haven’t seen foliage since our wedding back in 2016 in Colorado, and we’ve desperately missed our favorite season here in New England. Now that we’re back, we’re going ham on our New England Fall Bucket list. We haven’t experienced a real fall season in quite sometime, and we fully intend on making the most out of it this year. Now that we own our first home, you bet I’m decking out our front porch with pumpkins. Just the thought brings me so much joy. Now, lets get to it. This list wont be your typical, it’s all the little things we will be doing here in Maine, AND New England, we’re going big, baby. Here’s everything we want to see, do, and experience in New England this fall season.
So we kept it short, simple, and very easily doable this year. Why? we didn’t want to overload ourselves with too many fall activities. We picked a few pricy options, while some, don’t cost too much more than a tank of gas. While I’m beyond ready to fill our fall months with fall activities, there is a larger part of me that’s ready to slow down. We want to take our time exploring New England this fall season, without any pressure of cramming events/festivals, so we can enjoy this (hopefully) slower season in our lives. Since purchasing our first home, life has been packed full of activities and running around. So this fall, we fully intend on taking it slow, and spacing out our fun, fall activities, and living in the moment.
