Several months back, I revealed the purchase I made back in 2019 that changed EVERYTHING…. well, almost everything… I purchased my Nespresso machine, which you can read. here: my nespresso . For those of you who know me, I’m obsessed with coffee, and I do not say that lightly. I’ll cut anything else out of my diet, except caffeine. That’s a non-negotiable for me. I’ll never forget visiting my sister on vacation, waking up after a long night, and failing to find her coffee maker.
She didn’t even own one….
I was appalled. A 33 year old woman who doesn’t drink coffee? that’s preposterous.
But, two each their own… I guess,
Anyway! Today I wanted to do a little round-up of my fave Nespresso pods.
My model:
Nespresso Vertuo Plus including a Milk frother. I say this because if you own a Nespresso maker – make sure you order the correct pods for your machine.
My Top Espresso Pods
+Bianco Leggero – (tan/white)
Hands DOWN my favorite, must have espresso for latte making. This pod has caramel and sweet biscuit notes, and a blend of Kenyan and Indonesian Arabica espresso. That’s basically code word for: if you like lattes, enjoy espresso, or even caramel – just buy the damn thing.
+Voltesso (yellow)
Second top pick of them all – Voltesso is described as light & sweet. Voltesso espresso included Brazilian bourbon coffee, has light bisquity notes, and has a sweet aroma. This pairs so well with a oat milk latte, or just as straight espresso.
+Altisso (purple)
This is one of those pod’s I always have in the house. It is a dark roast espresso, that’s creamy and has notes of cocoa. It also includes soft cereal notes – which I LOVE. All of these pods truly pair well with latte’s – one of my favorite things to make with my Nespresso!
My Top Coffee Pods
+Odacio (blue)
This one has to be my favorite coffee pod. I drink my coffee black, so I can thoroughly experience the blend, and well.. because that’s the way I drink coffee! Odacio is bold, strong and includes notes of cereal. I love this because it’s strong, wakes you right up, and tastes great either hot or iced!
+Giorno (orange)
For my taste. this coffee is light and sweet – which I also love, comparatively to the stronger roasts. Giorno is described as floral and velvety. It’s considered a medium roast blend, but because it’s so light and sweet, it almost tastes like a light roast.
+Elvazio (light purple)
A beautiful light roast, that is fruity, and has a smooth taste to it. If you drink your coffee black and truly want a light and smooth roast, Elvazio will be your next favorite.
Honorable mentions…..
Something I have to mention…. it’s not on the website, due to being a “limited edition” I absolutely loved their Vanilla Custard coffee! I still have it stocked up and am so afraid of running out because it’s incredible! Another favorite was their Caramel Cookie coffee – I believe these blends came out around Christmas time. I HIGHLY recommend hopping on the limited edition flavors – they are always so good, and a fun treat!
